Text or Logo Watermarks

Type a custom text watermark or upload your own logo. Both support full control over size, color, and opacity.

Drag to Position

Click a corner on the position grid for a quick placement, or drag the watermark anywhere on the live preview for an exact spot.

Tile Mode for Strong Protection

Repeat the watermark across the entire image so it cannot be cropped out, with a spacing control to balance coverage against readability.

Batch Watermarking

No Upload to a Server

Watermarking happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never transmitted to or stored on any server.

What is an image watermark?

A watermark is text or a logo placed over an image to show who owns it or where it came from. Photographers use it to stop their work from being reused without credit, businesses use it to keep their logo visible on shared graphics, and anyone sharing a draft photo can use it to mark the image as not final. A good watermark is visible enough to do its job but light enough that it does not ruin the photo underneath.

Text watermark or logo watermark, which should you pick?

A text watermark is the fastest option. Type your name, a copyright line, or a website address, and it appears on the image instantly. A logo watermark takes a little more setup since you need a PNG or JPG of your logo first, but it looks more professional and is harder for someone to remove cleanly, especially with a transparent PNG that blends into the photo.

Single placement or tile mode, which is more secure?

A single watermark placed in a corner or the center looks cleaner and is the right choice for most personal and business photos. Tile mode repeats the watermark in a grid across the whole image, which is harder to crop out and is commonly used by stock photo sites and anyone worried about their image being copied. The tradeoff is that tile mode covers more of the photo, so keep the opacity low if you use it.

Does adding a watermark reduce image quality?

No. This tool draws your original image onto a canvas at its full resolution, adds the watermark on top, and exports at the same dimensions. PNG files keep their transparency, and JPG and WEBP files are re-encoded at a high quality setting, so there is no visible loss in sharpness.

Is this watermark tool safe and private?

Yes. The entire process runs in your browser tab using the Canvas API. Your photos are never uploaded to FileReadyNow's servers, never sent to a third party, and never stored anywhere outside your own device. This makes it a reasonable choice for confidential drafts, client proofs, or any image you would rather not put through a cloud service.
