How File Processing Works

FileReadyNow uses two processing methods depending on the tool:

Browser-Based Processing (Client-Side)

The following tools process your files entirely within your web browser. Your files never leave your device. No data is uploaded to our servers.

Processing happens using your browser's built-in capabilities (JavaScript, Canvas API, and Web Workers). This means:

  • Your files stay on your device at all times
  • No internet connection is needed after the page loads
  • We have zero access to your file contents
  • Nothing is stored, logged, or transmitted

Server-Based Processing

Some tools require server-side processing for tasks that are too resource-intensive for browser-based execution. These include:

For these tools:

  • Your file is uploaded over an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS 1.2+)
  • Processing happens on our secured servers
  • Files are automatically deleted within 15 minutes after processing completes
  • Processed output files are available for download for 1 hour and then permanently deleted
  • We do not read, analyze, or access file contents beyond what is necessary for processing
  • No file contents are used for analytics, training, advertising, or any other purpose

What We Don't Do

  • We never sell or share your files or data with third parties
  • We never use uploaded files to train AI models or machine learning systems
  • We never store files beyond the processing window described above
  • We never access file contents manually. Processing is fully automated
  • We never require an account to use most of our tools, so we don't link files to identities

Data We Do Collect

Like most websites, we collect basic analytics to improve our service:

  • Page visits and tool usage (via Google Analytics), anonymized, no file data included
  • Session behavior (via Microsoft Clarity), mouse movement and clicks for UX improvement, no file data captured
  • Error logs, if a tool fails, we log the error type (not file contents) to fix bugs

We use cookies only for:

  • Session management, required for some server-processed tools
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity
  • Advertising: Google AdSense

Recommendations for Sensitive Files

While we've designed our platform to be as secure as possible, we recommend:

  • Use browser-based tools when possible, your files never leave your device
  • Remove metadata before uploading sensitive images (EXIF data can contain GPS coordinates)
  • Avoid uploading files containing passwords, financial data, or personally identifiable information to any online tool
  • Download and verify your processed files promptly
