Extract PDF Pages

Extract PDF pages by uploading your file, clicking the pages you want (or typing a range like "1 to 3, 5, 8 to 10"), and choosing whether to download them as one combined PDF or as separate files in a ZIP. The tool processes everything in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server.

Extract, split, or delete pages: which one do you need?

These three tools use the same underlying engine but solve different problems, and picking the wrong one just means extra clicks:

• Extract Pages (this tool). You know which pages you want to keep, and you want them as a new file. Best for pulling a signed page, an appendix, or a section out of a larger PDF.
• Split PDF. You want to break an entire document into pieces, either one page per file or in even chunks. Best when every page needs to become its own file.
• Delete PDF Pages. You know which pages you want to remove, and you want everything else to stay as one file. The inverse of extracting.

How it works

Upload triggers a thumbnail render of every page, so you're looking at the actual document, not guessing from page numbers. Click each page you want, or use the range field if you already know them: typing "12 to 15" selects pages 12 through 15 without any scrolling. The counter above the grid tracks how many pages you've picked out of the total.

Once you extract, the pages are copied at the PDF object level rather than rasterized into images, so text stays selectable, fonts stay sharp, and file size stays reasonable.

One combined PDF, or a ZIP of separate pages

Most extractions are one combined PDF. You pick the pages and get one file back in the same order they appeared in the original. If you need each page as its own file instead (for example, filing five invoices from one scanned batch into five separate records), switch to the ZIP option before extracting. Both modes support batches: upload several PDFs at once and each one gets processed and downloaded on its own.

Common reasons people extract PDF pages

• A signed page from a longer contract. Legal and HR documents often only need the signature page filed, so extracting it avoids sending the whole agreement.
• One chapter from a report or textbook. Share the section that's relevant instead of a long attachment nobody will fully read.
• Individual invoices from a batch scan. A scanner that saves 10 receipts as one PDF becomes 10 usable files with the ZIP output.
• Rebuilding a document from pieces. Extract pages from several PDFs, then run them through Merge PDF to assemble one clean file.
• Pulling test or exam answer keys. Keep the pages students need separate from material meant only for instructors.
